Each patient receives individualized treatment plan and care based on their diagnosis and needs.

Distraction Therapy System (DTS)

Our office currently utilizes two distraction tables. Decompression Therapy is the latest in chiropractic technology in helping treat bulging and herniated discs and also degenerative processes where manipulation might be contraindicated. This decompresses (or stretches) your spine, focusing on the intervertebral discs, joints, and spinal muscles (the three structures that produce most of your pain). During this treatment, your body is responding by flooding the area with valuable oxygen, blood, and nutrients that help promote your body’s natural healing process. Often there are risks associated with surgery, anesthesia, injections, or prescription medication; however, the DTS provides a safe and natural alternative in correcting compression-related ailments. The therapeutic table used for decompression is connected to a computer that controls the level of distraction to your spinal structures. Dr. Williams has personally benefited from the use of the DTS table in treating his herniated disc. It has prevented him from having surgery.

Electronic Acupuncture

When the body is working properly, messages from the brain travel down the spinal cord, through the spinal openings, and reach the body systems without interference. If interference in this perfect design occurs, your body’s ability to function properly is reduced. Acupuncture promotes natural healing through restoring the body’s blood flow and stimulating the nervous system to release beneficial chemicals and hormones. These chemicals stimulate the body’s own internal regulating system. Dr. Williams offers an electronic form of acupuncture. This electronic form of acupuncture has proven to be just as effective as traditional acupuncture. Acupuncture treats a variety of disorders including:

Headaches/migraines  *  Sinus problems  *  Allergies  *  Stress/Anxiety  *  Back Pain  *  Osteoarthritis

Menstrual Cramps  *  Tennis Elbow  *  Carpal Tunnel Syndrome  *  Plantar Fasciitis

X-Ray

We utilize an in house x-ray machine to aid in the diagnosis of your particular condition.

Cold Laser Therapy

When the body has an injury, the cells are damaged and fail to function at maximum capacity. This therapy emits a painless light laser that penetrates into the tissue and restores any damaged cellular function. The laser accelerates the body’s natural ability to repair and heal after an injury. The laser can provide pain relief by increasing up to fifteen times the cellular regeneration of all the associated tissue, thus limiting the duration of any inflammation. The benefits of the Cold Laser Therapy include increased ability to heal, stronger tissues, and improved circulation.

Electrical Stimulation/Interferential

Interferential therapy stimulates tissues and nerves by sending small electrical impulses through the skin. Pain and inflammation are reduced as a result of these impulses. This type of electronic stimulation allows for an increase in circulation, which aids in recovery for patients. The interferential machine causes muscles to contract and pump, which increases blood circulation and promotes relaxation. The electrical currents carry nutrients to muscles and cause metabolic waste products to be carried away. The currents also trigger the body to produce endorphins and other natural pain killers to help alleviate pain. Often patients describe the interferential current as “tingly” or “like a deep-tissue massage.”

Ice (Cryotherapy)

Ice therapy is used to reduce swelling and inflammation, while also assisting the body in minimizing tissue damage. Ice causes the veins in the affected tissue area to constrict. This reduces the flow of blood and acts as an anesthetic to numb the pain. The medical benefit of the ice therapy occurs once the ice is removed. The removal of ice causes the veins to counteract by enlarging, which allows for a greater volume of blood to rush to the impaired area. The blood is rich in beneficial chemicals that aid in the healing process.

Moist Heat

Heat therapy is used to relax the muscles and increase circulation in patients who have chronic pain described as achy, stiff, or sore rather than sharp and stinging. The moist heat promotes muscular relaxation and healing by dilating the blood vessels of the affected muscles. This helps decrease discomfort and stiffness by reducing the amount of pain signals going to the brain, while increasing the ability of your muscles to flex and stretch. This therapy is contraindicated during an acute episode.

Rehabilitative Exercises

Exercise helps promote proper digestion, keeps the muscles in proper tone, and promotes better circulation. It is essential within chiropractic treatment to strengthen the muscles of the spine through a specially designed exercise program. A proper exercise routine ensures that your muscles will be strong enough to support the benefits of the chiropractic treatment, and reduces the likelihood of future problems. Our rehab specialist works one-on-one with our patients to implement an exercise routine specifically designed for their condition by Dr. Williams. After working with our rehab specialist, these exercises can be performed at home or in the comfort of our rehab area.
